Valley Group limited are working in partnership with East Dunbartonshire Council to upgrade and improve the energy efficiency of their schools. We are currently installing a range of new boilers, water heaters, pumps and BMS control panels in 12 schools across the Local Authority, providing more efficient and effective heat/hot water systems.
The work is being carried out during term time with robust health and safety measures in place at all times.
Valley Group were keen to ensure their community benefit commitments were delivered and as such took part in the whole school assembly at Torrance Primary, educating the children on the works being carried out at their school and the different job roles required within our business.
Charlotte Copeland, Depute Head at the school said:
“A massive thankyou to you and your colleagues for the visit this morning. Pupils loved hearing about your work and each role. Hopefully, this is the start of a partnership between Valley and our wee school. Really keen to develop things further next session.”
Valley Group also provided the primary school with ‘Loose Parts’ such as cable drums and pipe fittings which schools are using for education play purposes.
Valley Group Managing Director Sean Harkin Said:
“Community benefit is an important part of our work at Valley Group and we were delighted to support Torrance Primary School. We believe in giving something back to the communities in which we are working and adding social value where we can. This includes donations, sponsorship or educational talks as well providing training and employment opportunities.”
Valley Group are continuing to work closely with East Dunbartonshire Council and are looking forward to working with other schools in the area.
